The program, which includes the new term work of the Child Rights and Business Principles Program, which has been successfully carried out in cooperation with TESK-UNICEF since 2018, was signed between TESK and UNICEF on 07 July 2023. The target provinces of the said program are Bursa, Çanakkale, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Ordu, with the Official Approval dated 07.08.2023 and numbered 35002545-730.06.01-41 and the decision of the Board of Directors dated 24.08.2023 and numbered 19/7. , Mersin and Zonguldak. This program aims to increase safe on-the-job training opportunities for children and young people, to protect children's rights in TESK-affiliated enterprises and to combat child labor in this way.

On February 6, 2023, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6, with the epicenter in Kahramanmaraş, were effective in a wide area covering Southeastern Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean regions. Following the earthquakes, 11 provinces, including Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa and Elazığ, were declared "disaster areas" due to heavy destruction and loss of life. It has been officially announced that 50,783 people lost their lives and 107,204 people were injured as of April 22, 2023. In order to respond to the impact of the earthquake, TESK carried out a rapid assessment study in the region immediately after the earthquake and the study results were compiled into a report.

TESK-UNICEF Children's Rights and Business Principles Program aims to share the results of the prepared report, to update the report as a result of the opinions received, and to exchange views on what has been done and what is needed in order to contribute to the restructuring process for the earthquake-affected businesses and students studying in the businesses in line with the outputs obtained. Activity 1.2 (one of the "ÇHİIP PRO 2023-2024" activities). Based on the Earthquake Rapid Assessment findings, the activity "Encouraging SMEs to adopt Child Rights and Business Principles (CHIB) in restructuring processes" was held at Divan Hotel Gaziantep on 14 - 15 December 2023, with the participation of local public institutions, national and international NGOs.
